Welcome to Fairview Forgotten, my boyhood home on Bedford Basin, part of Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia ,Canada. Fairview was not part of the city in the late forties and the fifties. I always say I had the city in my front yard and the forests and farms of Fairview at my back door! It was an idyllic boyhood, hence the nostalgia, now that it is part of the city, I want to share the way Fairview once was, everyone knew everyone, From Ashburn Golf course to the Fairview Underpass!
